As a Board Certified pediatric dentist, Dr James has focused his attention to the care of children, adolescents, and children with special needs. Dr James finds the greatest satisfaction working with his patients to help them begin a life long positive dental experience. With his compassion and enthusiasm for making each visit special for the parent and child, Dr. James focuses on providing quality care in a fun and positive environment. For the past four years, Dr. James has been providing dental care exclusively for children.


Dr. James began his education at Westmont College in Santa Barbara California in 1996, then completed a degree in Microbiology at Willamette University in 2000. He continued on to Oregon Health Sciences University and graduated with a doctor of dental medicine degree in 2004. Dr. James worked with a pediatric dentist until completing a specialty program at Oregon Health Sciences University. This pediatric dentistry residency was a two year program that provided specialty training in the care of pediatric patients. Dr. James is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has passed the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry written and oral examinations. This is a voluntary examination process that Dr. James applied for and passed in order to let his patients know that he is not only qualified, but this qualification is proven by an independent board.  Dr. James was recognized at OHSU in 2004 with an award from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for excellent promise in the field of pediatric dentistry. He later completed his pediatric specialty training at OHSU. He has worked full time with a close friend and colleague, Dr.  Amna Shebani at her office “Dentistry for Children”, in Vancouver, Washington. For more than 4  years Dr. James has devoted his training and practice to the care of children and adolescents.   His professional associations include, Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry,  American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association , Clackamas County Dental Association.


Dr. James enjoys spending time with his family and his niece Sophie, and his nephew Landon. Dr. James has a pet dog, and loves to spend time along the beaches in Southern California, enjoys boogie boarding, and playing video games.
